Ohhh Boy!

I pray that your Christmas was wonderful! I will blog on that and post pictures of the nursery soon! It's fabulous!

Well, we are 37 weeks and things are starting to get exciting!

I am swelling-ewww--a lot. I have 3 fingers on my right hand that have been constantly numb for 4 days. I am contracting often and feeling a lot of 'fetal movement'. Its been rough at night; lots of discomfort and getting up to use the restroom...blasted tiny bladder...

I went to the doctor's today and she checked to see how i'm progressing. I haven't dilated yet but i am 50% effaced and his head is down but he isn't yet engaged. She found that my blood pressure is pretty high... =( No traces of protein which is great but b/c of my high BP and amount of swelling, has ordered me to stay home this week...Wednesday i have a return visit to re-evaluate the 'situation'. Keep us in your prayers =)

How our baby's growing:
Congratulations — your baby is full term! This means that if your baby arrives now, his lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb, even though your due date is still three weeks away.

Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.
