a taste of before and after

Our House

We closed on Thursday, April 29th… Our anniversary. “You shouldn’t have bought me a house for our anniversary honey” I told Matt. “It’s just too much”. =) Its just how the dates worked out--a mini blessing. After 9 months under contract, we left work early and met Nick at the title agent for a 3 o’clock appointment to purchase the house. We moved out of the rental that day and put everything in the garage at our new house. Then, had carpets cleaned on Friday and hung out with the Hagleys (our sweet cousins on Matt’s side who were in town from Wisconsin) Friday night. Saturday was painting day--a lovely labor of love and Sunday we moved our stuff in. (a HUGE thanks to our generous family and friends who helped with cleaning, painting, moving and watching Isaac!! We love you)

okay so here's part one of the grand tour

4th of July festivities

Can i just start by saying, i love the people in our lives! What a great weekend, for sure; A wonderful 4th stuffed with friends, family and fireworks, duh.
We started the holiday off right with a family dinner Friday night. My grandmommy can cook, yall. Then, a saturday evening with the Shaws where Jacob and Isaac wore each other out, chasing and yelling! Sunday night was one to remember, celebrating with Lemlers at the lake house, all while watching the firework show from the shore and a goodnight kiss for Isaac. (I know! i even have pics) Lastly, Monday was spunky, if you will, with bowling with the fam (i didn't even get the lowest score and i broke 100) and shoppin at IKEA with my sister and her fiance' Justin. I can't wait to post a photo of the cute lamp shade matt bought me...on to the photos!
