'I've got rhythm, I've got music...

...I've got my boys, who could ask for anything more!"

Sometimes I feel like Gene Kelly and Judy Garland are doing a Broadway tap number in my belly! Our little boy is always moving! WE ACTUALLY SAW MY TUMMY MOVE WHEN HE WAS KICKING TONIGHT! We've been talking to him and I'm sure he's always bombarded with sounds because of my job---2 year olds aren't the quietest...But i read something interesting on Babycenter.com---Our son can hear and move to music! Read along...

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing him for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb. Steph is 23 weeks today.

"Lucy is STILL A GIRL, MATT!"

My poor lil puppy! She had to get fixed this weekend and Matt has been teasing me that she isn't a girl anymore! She is so sore and when she gets excited, she tries so hard to show you but her tail wags so slow--Her tummy is very tender and has been trying not to extend herself very far...poor sweet thing! She should be 100% back to normal by the end of this week and has been making some progress!

Matt and I went to Target this weekend and registered there! I made sure to keep track of the items that we didn't like at BabiesRUS whether it was too expensive or not the right style and registered for it at Target--We are so happy with our list even though we fell like we have no idea what we're doing! Lord, we totally need you to help us raise this baby boy! Look how cute this outfit is!

Steph is getting bigger (whoa!) and feeling A LOT of movement! She is 22 weeks today and at 11 inches
(the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, our baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

Celebrating 2 Years

WOW! Two years of wedded bliss has flown by! What a wonderful life we share! We are so blessed to have each other! Well, we are... =) On April 29th, Tuesday, Matt sent me a dozen beautiful white roses while I was at work; (see above. Aren't they lovely!) it was so sweet and unexpected. For dinner that night we went out to Downtown Disney and ate at the Rainforest Cafe (after many different occasions, we've never been 'thrilled' with them--Slow, too busy, no personal attention, food okay) but we still had a nice time- It was a beautiful evening and a great place to people watch while we were waiting to be seated. Tourists are so funny lookin! We had decided a while back that for our anniversary we were going to go to the beach for the weekend which we were thrilled about because, apart from our honeymoon, hadn't been seaside alone as a couple...ever. Because of our limited time frame and crazy gas prices, we stayed in Daytona (http://www.daytonabeachresort.com/). Okay, so when we pulled up to the resort, we were so excited! It was a very attractive hotel, Waterfall sign, green grass, tropical trees, beautiful renovated buildings and over sized light fixtures and decor. We checked in and were given our parking pass and room key cards. After parking in their garage, we headed up new elevators and down tiled hallway to our corridor. All was magical until we found our hall. Our advertised and much anticipated private balcony was, in reality, a long, outdoor hall that connected all of the rooms the length of the building. Outside of each room was a plastic table and 2 chairs. We were not expecting this. Matt had researched (and for those of you who know Matt, understand this in depth 'research' I speak of) so many places and we grew up going to beach hotels and never have seen a set up like this. It just wasn't what we paid for. So after going to the front desk and they agreed that their website was, in fact, misleading, decided that since we booked through Orbitz, the hotel insisted that it was out of their hands. Orbitz then said it was in the Hotel's court so we requested a minute with the manager. We were praying and being super nice to everyone we talked to. They said they were booked and it looked like we were going to have to pay the full stay to cancel the reservation (which we could never afford and would have to just deal with it) when the manager realized how important this was to us and how misleading their information was. She 'checked for any cancelation' and blessed us with a room that was so much more than we could've ever HOPED for! It was gorgous! In the tower, on the 8th floor, stood our corner suite! Thank you Lord. He is always so good.

We had such a wonderful time! It was so good to get some sun and there was a lot to do. We even went to Pirates Cove and played putt-putt---I got 2 hole-in one's! We went to Bubba Gump's (the restaurant made after the Forrest Gump movie) and my meal came in a shrimp boat! The waiter asked us trivia and we sat outside near the ocean and under white lights; it was alot of fun!

Thank you Lord for the institution of marriage, for love and for blessing us with each other. It's a joy like no other.
